Litha, or the Summer Solstice, is one of the eight Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year and marks the longest day and shortest night of the year.

At this point on the Wheel, the sun has reached the height of its annual journey. The natural world is lush and abundant, making Litha a celebration of light, vitality, growth, abundance and joy.

But the solstice also represents a turning point. After this day, daylight gradually begins to diminish.
